年过了，明天就开工大吉，有点懒懒的不想回到现实。 :P

这个过年我真的是彻底的 switch off，拼命吃，死命玩，夜夜睡，哈哈哈，痛快！

Congrats to TECKYUN and MAYFUNG! Finally tie the knot and jump into the grave of love. The wedding was a memorable one for me especially seeing all my heng dais are in good shape, plus I p4wn the noob kiddo TWICE in SFIV. LOL. siok sendiri.

Finally my SWIFT arrived last Friday. HOOHOOHOOHOO~~~ Vvroroooooroom... haven't go zero to hundred yet, no road smooth enough to do that =)

We went to Cameron Highlands [yeah, again] over the Hari Raya break for a 4D3N bungalow stay. My [rich :P] cousin rented the place (not the whole house, just 1/4 of it) at over 1k a night so that the whole TAN family can go there and steamboat and mahjong all night long. :) It was really relaxing for me coz i cant get much internet or 3G service up there, and the weather is cold due to rains.

My other cousin brought his apple and we succesfully have a round of DOTA AI with his mac running Parallax [walao the graphic so lag] :)) 

Most of the time i just sit, eat, sleep and rot, watch movie (Rocky 1, 2, 3), or keeping eyes on the kids in case they get too excited and do weird stuff.

New food we found in the mountains -- Strawberry Nan. You should try it if you have not, its nice. but recommend to eat there, dont pack it back becoz they turn into rubber when cold.

We moved the office today! Out of the blue i decided to make a time-lapse video of the moving process, so i grab my webcam and laptop, find the software to do interval webcam capture (i use AbelCam http://www.abelcam.com/en/features/?20090408, make sure u let it register for free license -- i just found out :p) 

After capturing 1 frame per second into a series of jpegs, i then use ffmpeg to convert them. you should keep your filename as number sequence instead of base on time. another mistake i made.

Once you have the jpegs in a folder,  rename them with number from 1.jpg to X.jpg (write a script to do this)

finally, i use ffmpeg to combine them and output as MP4 with 1Mbps bitrate.  Here's the outcome, enjoy :) 

After a month of renovation work, our new office is finally reaching completion. Bukit Mertajam will now have a new landmark called "WSATP" :))

Start by finding the shop since May/June... and we landed on a great deal -- the 2nd floor corner unit. high up and customer sure wont miss it :)

then we have to plan for the layout. my first job as interior designer :) 

We need a meeting room, a room for TOMMY (coz he got non-stop phone calls) ... and the rest are for the main work forces. Took about a month to finalize it. This looks great with all the fengshui element considered ;)

 Then we find the PCK contractor, get quote, unquote, requote, and landed on one with the best deal. :) He did everything from wall to painting to carpet, with payment terms. ^_^ So the renovation begin.... and more decisions to made..

Now we have to pick the colors for wall, partition, carpet, bla bla bla... those really gave me a few sleepless night :P

My 10 kilos of LEGO just arrived over the weekend. The big pieces are for Darius and Carol, and the small pieces of coz fall into the creative daddy's hand ;)

MY mission is to make miniature robots to conquer the house... check it out..

*sigh* 我想我有点疯了！我花了整 100磅 买了一大堆的 Lego (算算大概有3000片吧) ... 现在还在英国等着寄回来～   还差点就 bid 下那 13KG LEGO 的 auction -- 结果被别人以 120磅赢掉了，幸亏！

最后一次回去加央清明大概是两年前的事了。这一次回去，见到长辈们都老了，表兄弟们都胖了... 中年发福, 包括我自己啦 =) 偶尔会怀念我的外婆... 1998 年他过世，那时我还在 UNIMAS 念书。 

小时很喜欢去加央住(尤其是新年), 因为那儿很好生养, 妈妈的兄弟姐妹多, 所以表兄弟也特别多, 很热闹 (现在也很多小孩, 我们的小孩 :)), 和最重要红包也特别多! 

遇到两个侄儿/女爱拍照, 对着镜头不停的摆款 :)

My dad is the first person in this world (lol) who funded my first personal computer, 3k+ in year 1990s is really a huge sum of money. So without doubt he is the person to thank for what i am today. And what else could be better than giving him a new computer during CNY ^_^

Build order after the picture, if you care. This PC only costs 1k (monitor not included), compare to what we paid back in the time, computer has been getting cheaper and cheaper.

Motherboard = Gigabyte G31M-ES2L = RM185
CPU = Intel Pentium E5200 (Dual-core)  = RM230
RAM = Kingston Value Ram 2GB, 1 pcs. save another slot for future upgrade. = RM75
Harddisk = Seagate Baracuda 320GB = RM160
Casing = Cooler Master GLite *something* = RM160 + a huge sucker fan for RM20
Power Supply = Tornado 650W = RM65

All these add up to around RM900. Its not cutting edge (upgradable to C2Quad), but powerful enough for daddy to download videos, transcoding, video editing, burn DVD, make audio CD, surf net, import photos...

After 5 years (since 2004) we finally shutdown the marine tank at home. The fish are getting hard to come by in BM, and i am too busy to change the water :P

THe tank is moved to outside and i use it to keep Cichlids. This gives additional space in the house and teresa quickly turn it into kids' corner. 

We bought 40+ cichlids from 周天央 today, thanks to Archew for the discount card the fish costs about RM80... together with the underwater lights i spent over RM120 today for the fish. ;)

First it was 冬至, then Christmas, then New Year, then Chinese New Year (hint: bonus!)

Year end is full of excitements. ;) My kids join in the fun of making 汤圆 this year. I made a special one (can u spot it) and it got eaten by Darius, vengefuly. lol

I also learn a new balloon model, the BUGZILLA! btw the balloons i bought from eBay seems like never going to come, damn it..  gonna send a refund request already.

I've learned a new skill this weekend! :) Noo its not wind walk... but i bought a pack of modelling balloons and learn to make a poodle :)

 

We spend a day at Lost World of Tambun (ipoh) over the weekend with bunch of ppc cousins and aunties uncles. The place is not as huge as Sunway Lagoon but do provide enough places for activities.

One of the significant landmark of the park is this Needle of Tambun rock, which goes slightly longer than Mut's shlong. I am glad my 1000d is with me, so i can HDR it! which verison you prefer?

I dont think men are going to like this but for those mommy out there, yuo can now put your baby's photo into a softtoy and make them your keychain (or maybe add a window sucker and stick it in your car). I have my kids made into a PIG and a.... oh, a LION. lol, took me awhile to figure that out

While busy building my own Arch Live CD the new swimming pool near my place is finally opened to public on the 2nd of June. So we took the kids there on the fifth, and wow it was fun! ;)

 Darius no longer afraid of dipping into water, and Carol.. she was never afraid of anything :P

Darius went to another kindergarten starting last week after finding it difficult to stay in the current one (bad teachers!), and he got fever again... what kind of parent am i, why my kids always sick  ;( The girls are doing ok though, as u can see from their happy faces :))

Taking the opportunity of the sudden surge in US Stock prices, i quickly and finally sold may last drop of ALTERA stocks at 21.20 today. Yeepee Ya YA! Just enough for a Macbook Air :))

8 March, all good except has been lao sai for almost 3 weeks.

the next day, lao sai reduced, mommy decided to let the brother & sister have some fun with water ;) the next day, high fever (reach 39 C) !! :D

3 days later, fever reduced, red rashes growing on face. in very bad mood, always stick to mommy (cannot leave her sight for a second).

Today, rashes on face reduced. mood also coming back to normal. she is now acting active, not yet hyperactive... i am feeling reliefed ;)
